COMEC© GRINDING WHEEL PRINTER A fully automatic printing system that loads and offloads grinding disks via a Pick-n-Place vacuum system – unloading from one stack and re-stacking on another after the print cycle. Each stack station has a photocell that detects full status.
This system is set-up to print each disk in up to four colors, but similar configurations can be designed to print any number of colors to meet customer requirements.
COMEC© PSTE-160-6C PAD PRINTER After years of research, design and experience in the pad printing field, COMEC© now has a new and revolutionary unit in its line of pad printing machines that meets the most complex printing tasks, thus opening new horizons in the pad printing sector.
This innovative machine is the only fully automatic and computerized pad printing center in the world. It's equipped with powerful closed-ring brushless servo-motors for the control of the (x,y,& z) axes. A fourth axis can be added to control the rotation of the pad. The slides are mounted on linear guide units with screw and ball drivers. Traversing speed is approximately 100 meters/min. with an accuracy tolerance of +/- 0.05mm.
The PSTE-160-6C is equipped with simple software capable of self-learning the points in which the image is picked up and deposited, with the possibility of converting the points on the keyboard, and can also store 999 programs and reach up to 99 printing stages per program. A 486 DX 2 PC with SVGA color monitor and industrial keyboard or touch screen controls the whole system. It can also carry out telediagnosis and receive new upgrades via modem, can directly load via PC the drawings of the parts to be printed and can print on paper or copy the programs to disk.
The PSTE-160-6C has been programmed to be able to choose between 5 different styles of pads that are automatically selected according to the type of printing to be carried out. This machine has 6 ceramic inkcups: two with a diameter of 160mm and four with a diameter of 130mm. This type of inkcup is very important for pad printing machines as it is very easy to clean, allows a reduction in the ink waste, avoiding evaporation of the solvent and preventing rapid wear of the cliche.
This pad printing center also has a special programmable pad cleaning system that further helps to reduce loss of time and ensures perfect and consistent quality. Thanks to this new machine, Pad Print Machinery of Vermont intends to develop new markets that, until recently, were impenetrable by pad printing, with a remarkable reduction in the costs and time compared to any other decorating process.
This unit lends itself to decorating large items in multicolor / multi-image such as are common in larger appliance and automotive type industries. The maximum part size that can be decorated is 36" x 30". Typical applications include multilevel computer panels with multiple images in multicolor.
The major advantage of using the COMEC© unit to decorate these large parts means total elimination of large volumes of work in progress and dramatic reduction in handling with resultant reduction in rejects. This pad printing machine completely eliminates the need for multiple printing operations and simplifies the decorating process.
AUTOMATED BOTTLE CAP PRINTER A bowl-fed printing system for printing on bottle caps at a production rate of 6,000 parts per hour. Parts are fed from the bowl feeder, then are passed under the flame-treating station, and put into cartridges stationed on a rotary turntable which carries them through the print stage. Then the parts pass under a hot air dryer as they travel down the offload chute. The dual-bowl fed process prints 16 caps at a time with a production rate of approximately 15,000 parts per hour.

LINEAR AUTOMATED BLOCK PRINTER For printing on two blocks at once, then flipping each over and re-positioning for printing on the opposite sides. This system is equipped with automatic loading, pre-treating, and automatic offloading stations. The entire system is controlled via mobile CPU with numeric touchpad. An automatic loading device loads blocks into fixtures from a gravity fed stack chute. A Pick-n-Place device offloads parts onto an existing conveyor line.
COMEC© 50 SMALL PARTS PRINTER A fully automatic bowl-fed printer for printing on small pieces, such as keyboard parts, then UV curing the ink.
