Position: Mechanical Designer, Ink Jet Systems
Job Description
This individual will be an integral member of a small team developing an entirely new line of industrial equipment utilizing piezoelectric, drop-on demand, ink jet and material deposition printing technologies.

Mechanical designs to be developed and maintained for automation and final production components and systems. Testing and troubleshooting automated equipment to ensure designs and design changes.

Interface with Software & Mechanical Engineers to develop and maintain motion control, image processing and ink supply maintenance functions.
Requirements
  • MINIMUM: 2 or more yrs experience or training in 3D models, detailed assembly models and creating mechanical detail and assembly drawings, P&ID’s, and electrical schematics per design and drawing standards ASME Y14.5.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Vocational/Technical School a plus.
  • Ability to conceive and implement conceptual designs. Experience or training with one or more 3D solid modeling software requirements; Inventor, SolidWorks, PRO-E.
  • Ability to work with tools and mechanical/electrical components.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
  • Ability to create BOM (Bill of Materials) and Operation sheets.
