This individual will be an integral member of a small team developing an entirely new line of industrial equipment utilizing piezoelectric, drop-on-demand, ink jet and material deposition printing technologies. Electrical designs to be developed and maintained for automation and final production components and systems.
Design machine electricals and component selection. Testing and troubleshooting automated equipment to ensure designs. Interface with Software & Mechanical Engineers to develop and maintain motion control, image processing and ink supply maintenance functions.
Over the life of this product line, system, automation, components and software will be repeatedly adapted/customized for unique printing and product handling applications.
Requirements
MINIMUM: 1 or more years experience in creating detailed electrical designs and component layouts and selection for electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to conceive and implement conceptual designs. Demonstrated experience with wiring diagram software, AutoCad, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
Ability to work with tools and mechanical/electrical components.
Ability to create BOM (Bill of Materials) by selecting components and equipment.
Ability to create electrical system schematics and wiring diagrams.
AS in an Engineering discipline or Electrical Engineering a PLUS, or equivalent experience.
