Complex Jobs, Simple Solutions - XE/XP-07
|
|
The latest in-line solution from Pad Print Machinery of Vermont features
horizontal pad thrust, plus the flexibility to accept multiple sizes of inkcups
and clich s.
The servo-driven XE-07 and its pneumatic pad-drive counterpart the XP-07 are
the newest additions to the growing line of pad printing machines designed for
automated manufacturing environments.
These machines are the upgrade replacements for the very popular LC-70 and
LC-90.
The XE/XP-07 is ideal for horizontal in-line printing of parts that need to
stand vertically, and can also be modified to print from below onto the bottom
of parts being conveyed over the printer. Two XE/XP-07s can also be configured
to print on opposite sides of bottles or other items simultaneously.
The Model XE/XP-07 pad printing machine is adjustable for use with multiple
sizes of inkcups and clichés, plus features a horizontal pad stroke adjustable
between 45 and 90 degrees. The machine has the option of being modified to print
beyond 90 degrees by special order.
The standard Model XE/XP-07 is built to accept a 60mm, 90mm, 130mm or 160mm
sealed inkcup with minimal modifications: simply replace the inkcup, adjust a
lever, swap in a larger or smaller cliché and print a 50mm to 120mm diameter
image.
The pad stroke is variable to 8 inches and the high-speed brushless servo-motor
can operate at a maximum speed of 2,500 cycles per hour. The XE-07 comes
standard as a one-color, single pad machine, but can be modified for printing up
to four colors, or with four pads printing a single color.
The Model XP-07 has a sealed inkcup, which reduces the use of solvents and
maintains a cleaner air environment. The unique characteristic of the sealed
inkcup is the smoothness of the ceramic ring, which slides over the plate,
releasing ink onto the cliché and then sweeps back, leaving ink on the etched
area of the cliché only. The sealed inkcup increases the number of impressions
of up to 200,000 on certain polymer plates.
The XP-07's pneumatic-driven pad drive is linked to the mechanical cup drive as
is the XE-07's servo-driven pad drive. The machine's controls allow the operator
to adjust parameters such as print pause, cliché pause, single or continuous
cycle, manual mode, increase/decrease stroke on cliché and part.
Please note that this is a pneumatic machine, requiring a compressor.
Pneumatic operation guarantees excellent uniformity of printing and independent
pressure regulation on both the object being printed and the cliché.
